Blue Lotus Choker

These Blue Lotus Chokers are handmade by Lauren and have been reiki by a certified reiki master. Made with over 300 beads, these necklaces were inspired by Lauren’s belly dance background. Each necklace is made with intention, these necklaces are made with a cyan blue cotton cord and a lavender purple cotton cord. These chokers are lightweight, comfortable, and beautiful. Each necklace is 13  inches long. You can customize your necklace by:

• Adding extra length added to the back of it will allow the necklace to adjust up to 15 inches.

Blue Lotus-The lotus has long been regarded as sacred by many of the world’s religions, especially in India and Egypt, where it is held to be a symbol of the Universe itself. Rooted in the mud, the lotus rises to blossom clean and bright, symbolizing purity and resurrection. The leaves and flowers are borne high above the water. It is often compared to the enlightened being who emerges undefiled from the chaos and confusion of the world.  The blue lotus is sometimes referred to as the Egyptian Dream Flower. This is a direct reference to the hallucinogenic properties of its leaves. Blue lotus leaves have long been used for their ability to induce a hypnotic effect and act as a sedative. This ability to transport individuals into a dreamlike state was highly sought after by priests and other individuals who used it as a conduit to communicate with the world beyond. Some used this effect as a tool to foretell the future while others said that it allowed them to speak to the gods and receive their instructions in person instead of from scrolls and ancient writings.
